Summer Activities
Tucked away in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Verbier Festival brings together the world’s greatest performers and attracts an audience of some 40,000 each year. Almost 50 concerts take place over 17 days, alongside numerous free activities for all ages.
Attracted not only by the quality of the music, but also by the encounters that take place, the most talented musicians on the planet make their way to Verbier each summer to perform at the invitation of the event’s founder: Martin T:son Engstroem. In addition to concerts, a whole host of educational activities round out the Verbier Festival experience.

Friday 18th August 2017
Technical Control in Sion and Verbier
Distribution of bib numbers and the technical control will take place on Friday 18 August at the City Center, Sion ( Planta Place) and center of Verbier.
CAUTION: Competitors from Verbier will have to get their bib number and bike checked Friday in verbier.
Technical control: 11.00 am to 07.00 pm.
Raidy Net+
From 05.30 pm will be the time for those in the children’s race, the Raidy Net+. They will have the chance to challenge themselves by trying out several courses set up at the barracks.

Or else the same day on the “place de la Planta”, from 11.00 am at the race office of Grand Raid BCVS.
Price: 15.- CHF
There will be a village set-up of stands and tents of all things mountain-bike, as well as other entertainment throughout the day. You can also enjoy radio Rhône FM live from 12.00 pm.
Refreshments will be available.
Saturday 19 august 2017
The Grand Raid race will take place on saturday 19 August 2017.
Caution: In the event of unfavourable weather, the comittee may decide to postpone the race until Sunday 20 August 2017.
